This PhD project will investigate the perceptions of AI technologies within Northern Ireland's agricultural sector. The project seeks to understand public trust, awareness, and concerns about AI in farming. Through surveys, focus groups, and stakeholder interviews, the research will explore the benefits, challenges, and public fears about AI adoption, aiming to facilitate the integration of AI into farming practices while maintaining public trust.

The student will work with both academic researchers and industry experts, gaining skills in public opinion research, data analysis, and AI applications in agriculture. They will also engage with stakeholders in the agricultural sector to understand the real-world challenges of implementing AI.

Training opportunities will include workshops on AI tools, agricultural technology, and communication of scientific research to a wider audience.
