About Me
My specialization is in Robot Learning, the combination of machine learning and robot control where machine learning models are trained from human demonstrations and applied as controllers to robotic systems. I am interested on the application of such methods in Agri-Robots and in the field of manufacturing.
I am currently a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computer Science University of Lincoln, which I joined in 2021. I am also a member of the Lincoln Centre for Autonomous Systems (L-CAS) and supervisor within the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Agri-Food Robotics: AgriFoRwArdS . Before that, I was a postdoctoral researcher at the LASA Laboratory of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL) and at the Intelligent Autonomous Systems Lab at the University of Innsbruck. I hold a Ph.D. in Robot Learning from Aalborg University, a M.Sc. with Distinction in Artificial Intelligence from The University of Edinburgh and a Dip.Eng in Production Engineering from DUTH, Greece. My research is focused on robot learning, the application of machine learning models for robot control and particularly on learning from demonstration and reinforcement learning. I have participated in teaching activities as assistant lecturer and in multiple European and nationally funded projects as investigator and researcher.
